Since last year, Mr. Wheeler has been sharing his passion for metal music with us. Every week, he introduces a different subgenre from this huge and diverse musical world. He doesn’t just list bands; he tells stories. From the pioneers to the lesser‑known artists, we get to sample a bit of everything before going off to find our own hidden gems. 
  
You don’t need to know anything about metal to join in. The only requirement is an open mind. You might not enjoy every band, but that’s no reason to insult them. Everyone has their own tastes, and the goal is simply to enjoy ourselves. Who knows, discovering new music might lead you to a genre that stays with you for the rest of your life. 
  
Metal might seem intimidating or just “loud noise” at first, but that’s only one side of it. Only a fool forms an opinion after trying something once. So, whether you’re curious about metal or already a dedicated listener, you should definitely give it a try. 
  
It’s perfectly fine if, after a few lunches, you decide it’s not for you. But it would be a shame not to try it at least once.
