Let me tell you the extraordinary story of the astronauts who have flown to space aboard the shuttle Atlantis 600km above earth to repair this old telescope named the “Hubble Space Telescope”. This telescope is known for its incredible images of space, and it is also known because it helps scientists to understand the cosmos and warn us of any meteorite in Earth’s path. But apparently, people really want to discover new things about space such as having space tourism.

Hello everyone, for this edition of the school newspaper, I will present to you a very important space mission. A crew of astronauts went 600km above the Earth and did some spacewalks to repair Hubble. For those who don’t know what Hubble is, it is a space telescope designed by NASA. The data collected by Hubble has contributed to far-reaching discoveries in the field of astrophysics. This telescope is very important for future discoveries about space.

Hi everyone, today it’s my turn to present something in the school newspaper so, I decided to talk about a space mission that I read a few months ago, the Darwin mission. I think that it’s a good idea to present to everyone a mission that I support because people might agree with me about the importance of knowing if there are other creatures in the world.
The Darwin Mission is a mission to find out if there are other creatures on other planets other than earth. To achieve this mission, the ground crew of the will have the opportunity to send four spacecraft into space. They aren’t going to do all the job alone. Frozen water below the Moon
The NASA is preparing a mission to the Moon. This mission consists of sending an Ares 1 launch vehicle that will carry a lunar lander and modules to build a permanent habitat on the Moon. They will be do this project soon. They will head for the Moon’s south pole because it is exposed to constant sunlight. The desired result will be to dig the surface of the moon to see if they can find frozen water and install solar energy panels to collect energy from the NASA base. I choose to support this mission because if they find frozen water below the Moon’s surface it means that human could live on it. That would be awesome plus it could be the beginning of space tourism. This mission is difficult because it is challenging to survive in this hostile landscape. This mission is interesting for scientists around the world and the future history. It could be interesting if they do it because after this experiment, they can try to send this same machine on Gliese 581 a newfound may liveable solar system or other options. This mission is important to me because our planet is in danger because of pollution and petrol so if there is an emergency, we could have another solution.

Hi, today I'm going to talk to you about a mission that is so interesting. It's about the mission some scientist planning to do soon. Now I'm going to let you read about it. Some scientists recently decided to do a mission in space to know if there is a planet that is habitable. To know that they will be sending four different spacecraft in space. The spacecraft are going to have telescopes of three to four metres on them. These will look around and analyze all the atmospheres. We are going to see with that if there is some signature of life in space, because of the images the telescopes will take and send on Earth after.
What do you think about it? Do you personally think there is other life in space?
If you want to know for my part, I think there is other life far away from us. This is one of the reasons why I support this mission and, it also can be important for our future. Why? Because it's really practical if we find new thing in space, or if the scientist really see a habitable planet maybe were going to be living on it. We can also know more about our world, where we live. These are some of my reasons why I like the idea of the crew of scientist doing this mission. The Nasa team will install solar panels to get solar energy and they will also be digging to find frozen water. Ashley is one of the teenagers that expressed her opinion on the blog: LIFE QUEST stating that she believed that there is life on other planets. Since galaxies are immense and extremely far apart, she doubts the possibility of interaction between humans and extraterrestrial life forms. However, she still thinks that humans shouldn’t give up and should therefore continue their search to bring groundbreaking improvements to our current ability about space tourism. Similarly, to Ashley, I support this mission because I also think that human beings are curious by nature and the search. To satisfy this curiosity will propel us to heights never achieved before.
Although this team will face immense challenges when exploring the moon, their accomplishments and data collection will allow all the world to understand and learn more about their surroundings. It will perhaps allow for creative solutions to our current problems related to global warming on Earth. So, they replaced all six gyroscopes, install a field camera and a spectrograph. They have also repaired Hubble’s most prominent camera. I chose this mission because exploring the galaxies will be unbelievable. Imagine discovering new planets that could support life. Understanding the cosmos will be incredible. Some scientists said that on the moon, there could be frozen water. With all the new equipment, the telescope can probably prove it. I really think it can be important for the future of humanity because the telescope can help scientists to discover new life existence or an earth-like planets if our planets is in danger. With a brand-new camera, it can prove that it can have new intelligent life. it can also help to know if asteroids will crash on earth and avoid the destruction of the world. The temperature is relatively cool, and scientists think it can have water on it. So, with the new technology on the telescope, we could learn more about this planet.

Hi everyone, for today’s school newspaper I chose to talk about something we are talking about in English class: Space Exploration. The class had to choose a space mission to explain and I pick the mission to repair an old telescope.

Hello everybody, today I'm going to present you the Darwin mission. This mission will start in a couple of years and it will be in space. The persons that work behind this big project are in majority scientists and the ground crew of the Nasa. The ground crew are the people who make sure that astronauts in space are fine and in security. The goal of this mission is to find Earth-like planets where we could eventually live. Earth-like planets are planets where humans can find food, water, oxygen and gravity. Anyways, you may ask yourself how they are going to do this. It's simple, they are going to send little robots in space with some telescopes. The telescopes will collect data and images from different planets that can possibly host life. The robots will analyze the planet to see if we can live on it. This is difficult because even if we find one, it's always too far away for us.
Personally, I think this mission is interesting for science and for human in general, because everybody knows that the planet Earth is in danger because of pollution, overpopulation, war, etc. This mission could be the solution to our problems. Scientists are maybe going to finally find extraterrestrial life or new bacteria that can be used for medicine or technology. We never know what we can find in other solar systems. Also, all these discoveries can be used for helping humanity to survive longer on planet Earth. It wouldn't be the first time that humans have created new medication with bacteria or new elements. For example, in 1924, scientists have found the Bacille Calmette-Guerin witch is a vaccine for tuberculosis. Also, it's not the first time that humans try something like that because in 2010, scientists found an Earth-like planet called Glise 581, but unfortunately the planet is way too far away. Nasa said that the planet was approximately 20,22 light years away. This means that if we want to go on this planet, we need to travel 300 000km/s for over 20 years. finally, it's difficult to find another planet like Earth but anyways I hope you guys learned new things about space and liked my text about the Darwin mission.

With the help of the satellites that are in the space we can know if our mission is going to be worth it. Our principal goals are to succeed in having has much information as possible to know if we have a chance ton liv on another planet than the Earth. How we are going to proceed is that the scientists will be on earth the satellite are going to help us. I support this mission because I think it's worth it to know if we can go liv on another planet is we are not able to continue to live on Earth. It provides a sense of security when you can know that you're not in danger when is it about the change of planet. I had heard a blog of a girl where she said that there a billion of stars in our galaxies. The possibilities are endless. I read that scientists have found proteins needed for life on meteors. They also say that animal life exists at incredible depths in our oceans. So, I believe that life exists elsewhere. This is important for the future of humanity because we can’t know what is going happen the next 50-100 years so if there is an emergency and we are obligated to change planet for X reason we can go with the eyes closed because we trust the scientists, astronaut etc. So, that's why we must succeed this mission because it is all the humanity that is at stake.

Most of you know that we are slowly killing this planet and when the planet is going to die, do you know what will happen to us? We will die too.
A crew of scientists is working on a project to avoid the extinction of the human species, how? With Space Exploration.
They are looking for a new planet with optimal characteristicsfor us to live on.
The mission is called ‘’The Darwin Mission’’ and it is a genius idea to start looking for a new planet livable because it will help us answer a lot of questions such as: ''Are we alone?’’ and discover new materials.
The plan is already complete, and the mission will start soon.
The plan is to send four different spacecraft into space to search for a life-supporting planets.
Three of these spacecraft will carry big telescopes measuring three to four meters.
These free-flying spacecraft will do more than just search for the planet, they will look for chemical signatures of life, collect data and images and send them back to Earth.
For the people that think that it is a waste of money and timebecause we are not sure if there's another livable planet, here is my answer to that:
I read in a reliable source and blog that they discovered a planet that has the characteristics to let us live on it called planet Gliese 581.
Planet Gliese 581 is a planet that scientists discovered.They gain interest on it because it has similar characteristics as our planet and it can be a new chapter for humanity if we find a way to go live there.This planet is one of the reasons why soon enough we will be able to determine if extra-terrestrial life exist somewhere closer than we think.
One of the only reasons why we still cannot go is because it’s too far and we don’t have the technology and the resources to go.
Yes, the mission is complex but ‘’Complex’’ doesn’t mean Impossible and this is why I think it is a good project, not only for the current generation, but for the next ones as well.
I don’t think we talk enough about that and it’s a really concerning case because we are living on this Planet.
We are wasting time on War when we could use all our resources on more productive experiments and projects.

They haven’t give a date yet, but I think they plan to send them in the near future.

With their advanced telescope they can detect and see the nearest stars and even the solar system, but since the project is still in development it is too early to be able to say with certainty how it will work.

Searching for Earth-like planets
In the last unit in English class, we talked about space and in this text, I'm going to present an important space mission. I support this mission because it could tell us if there is any life on other planets and make us know about more planets in the Milky Way.
A crew of scientists are planning to send spaceships in space to look for Earth-like planets. The mission of the ground crew of the Darwin mission consists of sending 4 separate spacecraft into space with 3 of them carrying space telescopes measuring three to four meters.

All the information they will collect about the possible hazards of building a base will be very important. There is a lot of possible danger and that is very expensive. They will do this project by sending a launch vehicule that will carry with him a lunar lander and modules to be able to build the permanent base that the NASA wants. I support this mission because I think that is it important to learn more about space because it will be sure that our earth will be inhabitable if we continue to polluate like today beacause the climate warming will continue to grow, so I think it is important to find another planet where we can live, like Gliese-581 c. Then, to be able to perform these mechanical changes, they went on numerous spacewalks and worked about 600 km above the Earth as the telescope circled the planet every 97 minutes.
Their mission had three specifics objectives; First, to replace internal and external components. Secondly, install new scientific equipment and repair broken instruments. All these steps are important for the progress of the mission, and you will see why while reading my article entirely.
They replaced all six gyroscopes, installed a field camera and a spectrograph, and repaired Hubble’s most prominent camera, the Advanced Survey Camera.
These steps are important for the progress of the mission. Because The components need to be replaced to function properly if they have been moved. As there are new science equipment which make it possible to discover new things, they have been installed for the progress and advancement of the methods practiced. If there are broken instruments, they must be repaired at all costs, otherwise it will cause damage.
I find some aspects of this mission that appeal to me, this is why among a lot of space stories I chose it. For example, I'm a type of person who likes to repair things, like usual objects when I accidentally break one. At school, I like to build things in science class (when we are doing a project). I like mechanics and learn about new current technologies. To end with my explanation, I would like to tell you the parts of this story that I like the most. Particularly the aspects of manual and technical abilities, that these astronauts must demonstrate to accomplish this task, which impresses me greatly!

I chose the mission that talked about the NASA finding an earth-like planet. The very first goal of the mission is to find a new planet because the human population is destroying the Earth and it will not be usable for years to come.
The mission is about space, but the location of every people who work for the plan, the scientist and the computer scientist are on Earth in the big building of the NASA.
Scientist started this mission in 1992. After that, they discovered the first exoplanet (a planet that is outside of our solar system), and this mission is still going on. Every day, they are finding new planets, but those don’t have the resources to have humans living on them.
In a text about space, I read that for this mission, there is a special team of scientists of the NASA and the Darwin Mission Crew that are assigned to find the right one.
I read in a blog too, that scientist found a earth-like planet called Gliese 581 that has some of the characteristics to support human life. So, this could be the start of the new era in the world of space and give a little bit of hope to all scientists who work hard to find the right one.
In the activities that we did in teams, I learned that they do the search by sending spaceships like they’ve done with the Mars Rover. Those spaceships are sent by a rocket into space and land on a unknow planet. They drive around the planet and collect pictures, data and send it to the NASA. To push this experiment further, they sent three more spaceships, but those have telescopes on them so they can capture better picture and some of them can collect water samples and evaluate it.
I do support this mission because this is for the better of humanity. What I mean is that in one-hundred years, the Earth will not be usable as a living planet for humans so unfortunately, we will have to move to a new planet and start over. With global warming rapidly increasing, the next generation to come will succumb to the fate of having to move from planet to planet, but it’s only if the research is bad.
In conclusion, space exploration is a big subject that is a mystery to each of us and in the future, we will continue to search for other liveable planets and eventually we will find on.

Hello, today I’m here to write about the mission of the Hubble Space Telescope.
The Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most important telescopes for scientists. It warn us if any meteorite could possibly have contact with Earth and helps to know much more about the cosmos.
This mission was about replacing old and broken piece of the Hubble Space Telescope and adding some new technology to it.
To do that they had to send a crew of astronauts to space. The team of astronauts were sent 600km away to space by a rocket named Atlantis. For that mission, astronauts had to go on many spacewalks.
By the time that they were on spacewalk they were replacing some of old instruments and adding some new ones.
The Hubble Space Telescope mission went very well.
They were able to change all the gyroscopes, add a new spectrograph, the most prominent camera and update the survey camera.
I personally think that this mission is one of the most practical missions. On all the mission that were proposed to us to present this one was the only one that was accomplished. Missions are expensive and I think we should invest the money on missions that are already created. This mission was all about adding and replacing the technology from the telescope, astronauts didn't have to create or find a discovery, so it is much simpler than other mission that is not even started.
It’s important for the future because this telescope have the ability to warn us from any meteorite. If we had a meteorite going to earth it would make lot of people injured and most of them that will be hit by it, they would die. Hubble Space telescope is there to prevent this.

Hello, today I’m here to write about the mission of the Hubble Space Telescope.
The Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most important telescopes for scientists. It warn us if any meteorite could possibly have contact with Earth and helps to know much more about the cosmos.
This mission was about replacing old and broken piece of the Hubble Space Telescope and adding some new technology to it.
To do that they had to send a crew of astronauts to space. The team of astronauts were sent 600km away to space by a rocket named Atlantis. For that mission, astronauts had to go on many spacewalks.
By the time that they were on spacewalk they were replacing some of old instruments and adding some new ones.
The Hubble Space Telescope mission went very well.
They were able to change all the gyroscopes, add a new spectrograph, the most prominent camera and update the survey camera.
I personally think that this mission is one of the most practical missions. On all the mission that were proposed to us to present this one was the only one that was accomplished. Missions are expensive and I think we should invest the money on missions that are already created. This mission was all about adding and replacing the technology from the telescope, astronauts didn't have to create or find a discovery, so it is much simpler than other mission that is not even started.
